I'm an incoming PhD student in the CMU-Pitt Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology.

Previously at Harvard and MIT, I've had the opportunity to engage in computational biology and imaging research under the guidance of Dr. Dushan Wadduwage and Dr. Sergey Ovchinnikov.

>> I'm interested in developing algorithms and fusing insights from machine learning (ML) to advance biology & healthcare, while striving for robustness and interpretability <<

I started this blog when I was learning Signals and Systems, and through this blog,
I aspire to clearly write (+ develop visualizations)$^\dagger$ about concepts & advancements that awe me.
Occasionally I record piano & vocal covers. You can find them here. 🎢🎹

Project Aya
Open Science Effort to Accelerate Multilingual AI

Project Aya - Sinhala/ΰ·ƒΰ·’ΰΆ‚ΰ·„ΰΆ½

Working alongside likeminded Sinhala speaking individuals who'd love to see our language thrive in the current NLP advancement landscape.
(2023 - Present)
Audiobook library

Manusath Handa

We built on online platform to gather and disseminate audiobooks (Sinhala/Tamil) to visually impaired students.

Some Visualization Tools I've built
D* Lite
Algorithm
Visualizer

D* Lite Algorithm

As part of my internship, I wanted to implement the D* Lite algorithm, with dynamic obstacle creation aspect. (WebAssembly)
Intelliscope
Convolutional NN Visualizer

Project Intelliscope

As part of a medical research, built a model visualization tool to get more intuition on what sort of learning has the model performed. (TensorSpace.js)
Multi-Core Processor
Simulator

FPGA Group Project

To test our ISA and the functionality of any assembly code, I developed a tool to simulate the activity of each core. (p5.js)
